Opening-day win: 44:22 against the Marburg Mercenaries

Successful season opener at home: the Fulda Saints kick off the 2026 Regionalliga campaign with a clear 44–22 win over the Marburg Mercenaries.

It was a tough, physical game — but Fulda took control early and led 22–0 at halftime. Across the full sixty minutes the Saints rarely let the Mercenaries get rolling; Marburg's points only came in the closing stretch, with much of the Fulda backup unit already on the field.

"Overall we're very happy with the performance, but we know there are still details we need to work on."

With the first win of the season in the books, attention now turns to the road trip to the Kassel Titans next week.
